WHO: Rose & Lexa
WHERE: The Forest
WHEN: February 20th
WARNINGS: Minor injuries
SUMMARY: Rose isn't doing half as well as she likes to think she is alone in the woods, but turns out she's not actually alone!
It's a pleasant day out in the forest. The birds are chirping, bugs are humming, and the tranquility of nature is all around soothing. Until someone ruins the atmosphere by loudly losing their lunch into some bushes.
"Hrrrrgghh," is a pained groan that follows the horrible retching sound. The bright red staining her chin and lips might be indication of a larger problem; the flavor of it is syrupy sweet though, not coppery. It isn't blood she's vomited up (thankfully) but instead an entire jar of maraschino cherries. Her stomach grumbles and cramps still in protest but feels overall better after emptying the toxic contents. The blond sits down, using a tree for support, and sighs heavily after using her sleeve to wipe off her face. Puking on top of an infected wound was the last thing she needs. She needs to keep food down so she can heal and-
Her head snaps up as sensitive senses catch the presence of something (or someone) else close by. Not an animal... Is it one of those 'walkers'? The woman tenses and keeps quiet just in case it is one of the undead in close proximity. Rose reaches for her blunt weapon, just in case, but the twist of her body causes discomfort from her wound and she gives a quiet hiss of pain. ... Aw, shoot. That's not good. Now whatever it is totally knows she's here.

It isn't difficult to catch the heavy, awkward footfalls heading their direction. Rose easily identifies them as the undead. She's about to move herself when Lexa suddenly grabs her things and darts off. She doesn't even have time to say 'Wait' before the wild woman's gone back into the woods quick as she originally appeared. Well. Truthfully, the blond couldn't blame her if she had left her behind but... an even closer listen says that's not quite the case.
Smart plan, she thinks. Rose admits she's basically sitting target so why not use that to her advantage. The woman settles in again and waits as the infected shamble closer to her. She still has the strength to fight if necessary, yet... She's hoping she won't have to. It takes trust she isn't sure she has in Lexa quite yet, but the other hasn't done her wrong so far. Might as well hope that stays true.
