I know you're desperate
WHO: Daryl and Lexa
WHERE: The forest
WHEN: 14th day in the Oasis (2.24)
WARNINGS: None. Will update as needed
SUMMARY: She brought them deer, he figures he'll get her something in return.
Daryl left the city with the back pack of carefully pressed plants (he'd had a hell of a time finding wax paper, but that shit was saved once he did) and already semi-pureed mixes before he made a private call to Lexa. She'd made it clear she was keeping an eye on the city and the main gates she'd brought the deer to. So he didn't think it likely she'd be too far off.
The message he gave her was a simple 'Be outside the gates for the next hour. Got you something.'
After which, he headed into the treeline and found himself one to climb up and take watch in. If she was already around, she'd probably let him know. And if she wasn't, he'd have a good (hidden) view of the area to watch her approach from. And a place where the walkers couldn't easily find him so long as he stayed still and silent.
